Junior Paint Estimator

We have exciting opportunities within our Estimating Departments for entry-level, Junior Paint Estimators. The primary role of the Junior Paint Estimator is to learn the estimating process, field work and software to provide accurate costing, therefore winning business by providing outstanding support to our estimating department, regional sales and production teams with the hope of progressing to an Estimator position. As estimators are often the first point of contact to client, outgoing people with exceptional communication skills are a must. Preferred candidates will have relevant education, be eager to learn, well written, excellent attention to detail and have exposure to reading plans, AutoCAD, Xactimate, OnScreen Takeoff and/or QuickBid software. Training will be provided. Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required. Travel will be necessary; vehicle and driver’s license required.

  • Have a thorough understanding of preparation procedures (i.e. sanding, caulking, sealing, etc.).
  • Show an ability to learn all painting functions; i.e. paint windows, doors, soffits, fascia, shutters, etc.
  • Arrive to the job or pick-up spot prior to designated time daily, unless otherwise specified by crew leader or supervisor.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs
  • Ability to perform light carpentry
  • Apply wall coverings as directed by supervisor.
  • Submit reports on all worked performed.
  • Make recommendations to his/her supervisor as necessary on the condition of wall coatings and coverings in the facility.
